It Takes A Village – the Rescue of Luna: This Village consisted of a group of feline-dedicated individuals. It was indeed a group effort!
A woman called VESH (Veterinary Emergency & Surgery Hospital) in Brentwood regarding a stray cat that appeared on her porch in the night, seemingly in poor condition. That call was referred to Kim (a SAFER volunteer). Kim was 35 minutes away from the woman’s house and it was snowing, so she asked SAFER Volunteer Gosia to retrieve the cat and meet Kim her en route. Transferring the cat from Gosia, Kim rushed to the vet. The cat was a bit chilly, but fine, alert and in good spirits. After being cleared by the vet, Vera Boles from “Those Cat Rescue People” was tapped to be a foster. It was through this "village" of networking, some phone calls and the owner’s Facebook post that Luna was reunited with her owner. Thanks to Everyone involved in bringing this cat home safely!
